Weekly Resource Roundup
We’ve recently added the following resources to our growing directory of organizations, activist toolkits, and articles of note:
Grandmothers for a Brighter Future
If you would like to participate in the Grandmothers’ action for the Georgia runoff elections, start by filling out this form with your contact information to request names & addresses for the number of cards you think you and your friends will be writing. The template for your cards, instructions and a list of names & addresses will be sent as soon as possible. We have been requested by the campaigns to have the postcards in the mail by December 12.
Started as Grandmothers for Obama, this all-volunteer, non-PAC organization focuses on organizing postcard campaigns for presidential and congressional representatives as well as campaigns around women’s issues, gun safety, and voting rights. To subscribe to their email list, click here.
This grassroots organization, whose membership comprises residents of DC, Maryland, and Virginia, has developed fundraising and canvassing toolkits, organized postcard-writing campaigns, and much more. They hold virtual monthly meetings; to sign up, click here to email.
AWAKE—Calls to Action (a toolkit)
Developed by activists who participated in blocking the Dakota Access Pipeline at Standing Rock, this toolkit features many actions we can still take to support indigenous rights: “There are many ways that you can keep the spirit and lessons of Standing Rock at the forefront of our collective consciousness. Even though the Dakota Access Pipeline was constructed, this fight, this resistance and our commitment continues. Here are five ways that you can continue the fight and support Native and non-Native causes dedicated to addressing oppression, injustice, climate change and helping water protectors who need myriad forms of assistance.”
