What You Can Do to Help Democratic Senate Candidates in the Upcoming Georgia Runoff Elections

Check out Political Charge’s recommendations for how you can get involved in helping Democratic Senatorial candidates Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff in the upcoming runoff elections in Georgia. Also, consider buying a Raphael Warnock or Jon Ossoff mug, designed by Georgia resident and political cartoonist/illustrator Trevor Irvin. The proceeds ($5 for the small mug; $6 for the large mug, after manufacturing costs) are donated to the candidates’ campaigns). These mugs will become collectors items and make great gifts.

Hold the Line Maryland member Alison Loerke points out that many “young people in the smaller towns in Georgia can be galvanized to register and vote. Perhaps the best way to reach them is through cultural influencers, i.e., musicians to whom they listen. Sankofa is working with Stacey Abrams to coordinate musicians in most needed communities; also #JoytothePolls is involved in similar work, so contributing to either Fair Fight or the New Georgia Project would help in both of those cases. They are working with local and big-name musicians, and there is a big push to use this path to get to the younger voters.”
